That’s not all you’re buying. According to Clayton MakePeace – here are just some of the things you’ll be buying –

  • $2 million to promote astronomy in Hawaii …
  • $381,000 for music programs at Lincoln Center …
  • $6.6 million for termite research in New Orleans …
  • $300,000 for the Montana World Trade Center …
  • $2.1 million for the Center for Grape Genetics in New York …
  • $1.7 million for a honeybee factory in Weslaco, Texas …
  • $143,000 for an online encyclopedia in Nevada …
  • $150,000 for a rodeo museum in South Dakota …
  • $238,000 for the Alaska PTA …
  • $333,000 for a school sidewalk in Franklin, Texas, and …
  • $1.7 million to research pig farts and poop in Iowa …
  • Now hows that for economic stimulus?

We need to expose every one of the idiots who dare try to shove this kind of garbage through when they’re supposed to be saving the economy.

But first, head over to Clyatons blog and read the rest of his post – and take the actions he suggests.

I’m off to contact some representatives myself. Pig farts – really.

My mother drew a distinction between achievement and success. She said that ‘achievement is the knowledge that you have studied and worked hard and done the best that is in you. Success is being praised by others, and that’s nice, too, but not as important or satisfying. Always aim for achievement and forget about success.’
