Every parent wants their child to do well in school, and in life.
But now, children cannot focus. They have been robbed of their childhood energy. They are put on prescription drugs at every opportunity –
In fact, the CDC says 6.4 million kids ages 4-17 have been “diagnosed with ADHD” since 2011. And that stat doesn’t even include the 198,000 kids under age five who are taking ADHD drugs. Besides that, I guarantee you, these numbers are a lot higher today – because every year the rates continue to skyrocket. http://blog.naturalhealthyconcepts.com/2014/05/15/3-reasons-adhd-likely-fake-disorder/
There are simple things you can do to help your kids thrive –
Feed your kids a balanced diet of real food
We’ve had a few decades of eating DNA altering fake foods, chemicals and dyes. The results are not pretty. ADD, ADHD, asthma, obesity, diabetes, and cancers are running rampant. Plain old common sense will tell you that your body is not designed to run on chemicals.
Kids are not getting the nutrients that they need to build strong healthy bodies and strong brains.
By feeding your kids a diet rich in natural nutrients, you will help them not only be healthier in the physical sense, but they will also be able to think more clearly and focus better.
Rid your kid’s diet of as many fast and packaged foods as possible. Check out The Broke Kitchen on Facebook. She does some awesome lunches. And of course, you can find hundreds of fast and easy recipes here >>>
Exercise
Kids are not meant to sit all day. They need exercise.
Of course there are the obvious health reasons – increasing lung capacity, stabilizing heart rate, building muscle and bone, burning fat, and reducing obesity and diabetes to name a few.
When they cannot release pent up energy you get frustration, mood swings, brain fog, and behavior problems.
Make sure that they have some sort of outlet where they can get rigorous exercise every day.

Sleep
In our always on, always connected, always have too much to do society – no one is getting enough sleep.
In the simplest terms, sleep is when your body and mind repair themselves. It is when your natural energy storehouse is replenished.
When you don’t get enough sleep, you are more prone to make mistakes. Not only that, but to make up for the energy deficit you crave refined carbs to fill the void.
And now in this over-wired world, people find it hard to fall asleep in the first place, let alone get enough.
Make a bed time ritual that does not include technology. No TV, computer, or cell phone at least half an hour before bed. I am a firm believer in no TVs in bedrooms. A hot bath and settling down with a good book still works wonders. Many people start their kids on journaling and gratitude lists early in life. I think almost all religions have prayer.
And guess what?
These same 3 things will help you be healthier and perform better every day too. Its good for all of you.
