The days are getting shorter…
The nights are getting cooler…
Soon summer will be gone…
I’ve always been a believer in smelling the roses, so to speak. We’ll have a couple more weeks of warmish weather – followed by months and months of winter. We’re in for a bad one…
You need to be soaking up and enjoying every last drop of summer –
Soak up that sun and increase your natural Vitamin D (without getting burned of coarse.)
Take walks
Jump in the lake (or pool)
Get outside as much as you can.
And the food – The fruits and vegetables are so good right now. Oh sure, they will be available in the grocery stores through the winter, but they’re just not as good. Stock up at the last few farmers markets. I’m so sad, we’re getting to the end of the tomatoes 🙁
Eat as many fruits and vegetables as you want! It won’t ruin your waistline. As a matter of fact, it will help you reduce it. And it will improve your overall health and build your immune system you you won’t be getting sick as much this winter.
If you’re into canning – good for you! I don’t have that kind of time. But you can preserve many fruits and vegetables in the freezer.
Make it a point to enjoy these last few summer days as much as you can. Have a great Labor Day Weekend! I hope you spend it outdoors with family and friends eating all the great summer foods.
