I just spent 2 hours on the phone with my sister “driving’ around Mountain Home Arkansas looking for where our old summer home used to be. What a riot! Gosh, everything has changed. Of course it’s been a good 30 years since I’ve been there. And our old house has been torn down and a new house put in its place.
It took me a while to figure out how to get down the streets, and then it took a while to get our bearings, but things started looking familiar a little. Then my sister left me and went out on the main road to see what was there.
It was an enjoyable break from the long hard week its been. It really was an escape. We lost all track of time.
I remember spending hours on the phone with my ex-sister in law watching television. I’ve spent hours on the phone shopping with my sister, or looking up information on the net.
I’ll never understand the fascination with texting.
