Its the last weekend before Christmas – so much to do, and so little time and money.
Here’s a quick tip that will save your sanity when it comes to cleaning…
Don’t skimp on quality when it comes to cleaning products.
I know, its tempting to try and shave off a buck here and there and buy cheaper cleaning products. this is not the time to do that. You want what works fast.
Stick with the tried and true –
I don’t normally recommend Swiffer because its not environmentally friendly. However, it is effective and does save time. Here’s my secret – I buy a small box of Swiffer Sweeper refills. I use them just like I would a dust rag, then throw it away. Works great on dusty blinds too. One goes a long way.
Usually, Pledge and a piece of cut up old t-shirt are my tools of choice.
If you’re buying dish soap, spend the extra 50 cents and get the heavy duty Dawn Platinum.
Use white paper towels. I usually use Bold or Brawny. The pretty prints leave streaks. Do not buy Viva. They are the most expensive and you’ll tear your hair out trying to remove all the lint they leave.
Stick with Windex, Glass Plus or Sparkle for glass cleaning. Windex has so many formulas now that its hard to keep straight which ones work. I usually use Sparkle.
A natural solution that is a real time saver is the Method Daily Shower Spray. And they smell so good! Less cleaning is always welcomed, right?
The small amount of money you’ll save buying cheaper products will not be worth the time and effort you have to put in to compensate. This week, it has to look good, and it has to be fast.
If you are a regular reader and you keep your bathroom and kitchen clean every day, you are in pretty good shape already.
You can touch up with a feather duster or a Swiffer cloth the morning of and have your house looking great.
Have a great weekend!
