I noticed something funny at our Thanksgiving dinner this year –
It used to be that the mashed potatoes and rolls would go quickly. I would always have plenty of sweet potatoes, cranberry, and green beans left, which would upset me because I was trying to put out healthier fresh food and no one was eating it – at least not as much as the bad stuff.
This year, the green beans were gone in an instant. I was left with one spoonful of sweet potatoes, and two spoonfuls of cranberry. I was disappointed that there wasn’t more left for me – but happy that people are enjoying the healthier foods.
My niece said that she was looking forward to salad. At one of our dinners last year, I put out a salad bar. She said that was the best salad! But with Thanksgiving dinner? hmmm…
Maybe I am making a difference.
How about at your house? Are you finding that people’s tastes are changing for the better?
