Ta-Da! Easy Dinners

My kind of fast food

That’s my kind of fast food!

How many times have you had to come up with dinner ideas fast, but you didn’t have much time, or you were tired, or, or, or?

Feels like almost every day, right?

Here are some ways you can put great tasting dinners together fast.

If you remember to take something out of the freezer the night before and you have fresh fruits and vegetables on hand, you can make great dinners appear like magic.

Like tonight –  I had a chicken breast. I had planned to make chicken wraps. Shred the chicken, put out refried beans, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and finish off with cool, sweet cantaloupe.

At the last minute we decided to have barbecued chicken sandwiches with melted mozzarella instead. I made a kitchen sink salad – green leaf lettuce, tomatoes, broccoli, carrots, green onions and Crasiens with a red wine vinaigrette dressing – and we still topped it off with the cool, sweet cantaloupe.

Either way – it’s good eating!

Baked sweet potato, or baked potato (OK, micro – baked)  with a salad and/or fresh green beans, or steamed broccoli, and a piece of chicken, or tuna, or steak – TA DA! Dinner’s ready!

You can have a seasoned chicken breast, green beans, a baked potato, and watermelon.

Or a steak or pork chop, steamed broccoli, a baked sweet potato.

See how that works?

One pan, few dishes, quick & easy – and you’ll feel great after you eat it. Can you beat that?

It’s cheaper than fast food.

And – you’ll save money on sick days, drugs, doctors and such. You’ll have lower blood pressure, your skin will look great, you’ll lose weight, you’ll have more energy, you’ll think more clearly, and you’ll be more productive.

Your kids won’t get sick as much. They’ll have fewer behavior problems, and do better in school.

Not to mention that you’ll cut your risk of diabetes, heart disease, cancer and other not so nice diseases.

It really is a good deal – wouldn’t you say?

If you forgot to take something out of the freezer, you can make a cheese omelet, or a Spanish omelet with a great salad and some fruit.

Make it a point to keep fresh fruits and vegetables on hand and you’ll never be at a loss for a quick dinner.

Keep a variety of seasonings on hand. You can make simple chicken taste different every night just by changing up the seasonings and sides.
