If you’ve read much of my stuff, you know that it is important to me to have my house ready to enjoy for the weekend.
Most people are not willing to develop good habits or put in a few extra minutes a day during the week to have the weekend free.
I finished up Friday night by doing my touch up dusting and vacuuming. Of course I didn’t feel like doing it. I was tired, and yeah, I could do it Saturday.
But Saturday was going to be the nicest day of the weekend. Do you want to spend a nice day catching up on all the things that could have been done during the week?
Saturday morning, I received my payoff. The sun was out. The coffee was good. And there was nothing that needed to be done.
I enjoyed my morning. I planted my planters.
I invited a friend over to enjoy the lake, take a walk, and have a nice dinner. After dinner she said, ” I am so relaxed I could just fall asleep. I haven’t been this relaxed in months.”
We live in such a high stress world. It is so important to make relaxation a priority.
I know people think that ignoring things that need to be done is relaxation. Its not. Your brain is still contemplating those things that need to be done. You cannot truly relax.
That is why I first developed Secret Confessions of a Clean Freak. I had to find a way to keep my house clean and calm, and still have time to enjoy life. Then around 2005, someone said that I should make it into an ebook because it would help other people. So I did. You may have heard of it.
The thing is, it’s not hard. If you stick with the system, keeping your house clean is so much easier. If you want a cleaner, more relaxing home that you can be proud of, go get a copy and enjoy your weekends.
