Bad Housekeeping

I was listening to a personal productivity trainer podcast the other day. It was wonderful. He gets up 15 min. early. He meditates, works out, eats breakfast, and gets to work. He works in 2 hr. chunks. He stops working at a certain time each day so he can spend time with his family.

All fine and good if you’re a man, right?

Not one mention about getting kids off to school and throwing in some laundry before getting to work. Or dinner, dishes, homework, baths, and housecleaning after you’re done working. Oh, and Mom needs to go to the Doctor Wed.

So then, you might look for successful females that seem to juggle it all. Their advice?

  • Hire a house cleaner
  • Get a baby sitter
  • Get a virtual assistant

Yes, that is how they ‘do’ it all.

Can you afford to hire out everything you can’t get to? Not very realistic for most of us.

Even if I could afford it, I would not pay $75 + a shot for house cleaning. My system is so easy, and keeps the house cleaner than they would. I can find better things to do with that money. How about you?

I would like to be able to hire out some of the business stuff. And I’m pretty sick of shoveling snow. But, we’ve got to work with what we’ve got at the moment, right?

If you’re going to follow someone’s advice, its got to be advice that you can implement in your life – otherwise, what’s the point?

I can hire mentor after mentor who is going to tell me to hire things out. I can’t, no matter how much they insist I have to. And then they lay the “if you’re not willing to invest in yourself’ guilt trip on you.

And all these New Age mentors?

OMG – you want to go broke? Start buying their stuff and sit and wait for the universe to deliver the goods.

So when you’re bopping around the Net looking for great advice, bear in mind that most of the people peddling productivity advice have no clue what real life is about.

The Good News!

You can manage your life a whole lot better and still have time and energy to enjoy life. You know other women that do it, right? If they can do it, so can you. I will show you how –

It is the only training of its kind – and for the moment its still cheap. My mentors all say its way too cheap. Regardless of what they suggest, the truth is that costs are going up, and I will have to raise prices soon – so take advantage now.
