Tomato Soup with Peanut Butter

I had never heard of this, and I thought it sounded really weird, don’t you? Apparently this is a popular dish in some families. Its one of those you gotta try it for yourself. Turns out its really good.

The original recipe dates back to the 1930s.

 

1 can condensed tomato soup.

1 tablespoon creamy peanut butter

1 1/3 cups milk

2 Tablespoons shredded cheddar cheese

Additional cheddar cheese

 

In a saucepan, combine soup and peanut butter.

Gradually add in milk.

Add Cheese

Cook and stir until peanut butter and cheese are melted and soup is heated through.

Garnish with additional cheese.

Serves 2
