¼ cup soy sauce
¼ cup pineapple juice
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 teaspoons fresh chopped ginger root, or ½ teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon sugar
1 clove garlic, chopped, or ¼ teaspoon garlic powder.
I personally don’t like that much garlic in my teriyaki, so I just sprinkle garlic powder on the meat before putting in the marinade. But that’s the beauty of making it yourself – you can adjust it to your own personal taste!
Making your own teriyaki sause is so much healthier, and tastes better too.
