Taco Sauce (involves canning)

 

This authentic recipe certainly breaks the 30 minute rule, but once you’ve made this sauce, you’ll have it on hand whenever you need it.

12 Canning tomatoes

1 sm onion

1 cup Chopped green chili

1 teaspoon Cumin

1 teaspoon Salt

1 teaspoon Oregano

 

Dip tomatoes in boiling water, peel and chop.

Chop small onion.

Put tomato, onion and chili in 6 quart pan.

Add seasonings and simmer for 1 1/2 hours.

Put in canning jars. Bath in hot water bath for 30 min.

Only makes like 3 small jars. But if you’re canning tomatoes anyway, you might want to do a few of these.
