Call me optimistic, but its time to start thinking spring!
This is the perfect time to start getting things done while its still too cold to be outside much. Just start chipping away at it. There is no law that says you have to kill yourself.
The perfect spring cleaning jobs for this time of year are –
_____ Dust the ceiling and walls. Yes, they collect dust too, especially if you have ceiling fans. I’ve seen a number of homes where the ceiling fans have plastered dust all over the ceiling and walls. Dust the fans while you’re at it!
You can use a brush attachment on your vacuum, or a Swifter Sweeper, or a dust mop, to get it done quickly.
_____ Spot clean walls. Magic eraser is usually the best for this.
_____ Clean all nick-knacks. Always check an inconspicuous spot before immersing a figurine. Sometimes the paint comes off.
_____ Deep clean all shelves, tables, legs… This is when I oil all of my wood furniture and cabinets.
_____ If you have open space above your cabinets, clean up there.
_____ Thoroughly vacuum all furniture, including mattresses
_____ Vacuum under and behind all furniture
_____ Clean behind stove and fridge
_____ Clean all doors and frames
_____ Clean out light fixtures.
Put a dent in that spring cleaning. You will be so happy that you got this stuff done once the weather breaks.
