Sinus and allergy problems are an immune system response to certain triggers. To prevent sinus problems, the number one thing to do is build your immune system –

Eat a balanced diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables, get plenty of exercise and sleep, Keep animals brushed and house well dusted and vacuumed. Oh, and don’t smoke.
