Roasted Pumpkin Puree

Put the washed whole baking pumpkin on a foil lined cookie sheet

Bake at 350 F for 90 minutes or until tender.

Turn cookie sheet occasionally.

Cool

Skin will peel off

Clean out seeds and pulp with a spoon

Put pumpkin into a colander and let water drain off

Put pumpkin meat into a blender and puree

I package it in one cup packages and put it in the freezer. 4 baking pumpkins keeps us in pumpkin bread and pumpkin pie through the holidays.

Baking pumpkins are the smaller pumpkins.
