Perfect Pie Crust

Single crust –

½ cup flour

¼ cup shortening

1/8 cup water

 

Double crust –

1 cup flour

½ cup shortening

¼ cup water

 

Cut shortening into flour until it looks crumbly

Add water and mix with hands

Dough will be sticky

Roll out using LOTS of flour

Roll from the center & out. Do not roll over the edge too many times or it gets too thin.

Works for everything from pot pies to your favorite fruit pies.
