Parmesan Garlic Bread

1 medium loaf French bread

½ cup butter, softened

2 cloves garlic, peeled and cut in half

1 teaspoon dried parsley

1/3 cup parmesan cheese

Original Version –

Preheat oven to 375°.

Cut slices down the length of the loaf at 1 inch intervals, without cutting all the way through. If you want to get fancier, cut slightly diagonally.

Rub the slices and outside of the loaf with the garlic clove halves.

Now mince the garlic halves.

Combine butter, garlic, parsley and parmesan cheese.

Spread butter mixture between slices and on top of loaf.

Wrap bread in foil, leaving the top partially uncovered.

Bake until heated through, about 15 minutes.

Now for the super fast version –

Place a piece of foil on broiler pan.

Preheat oven to 450.

1 loaf French bread, cut in half and then into 3-4 inch pieces.

Spread with softened butter.

Sprinkle with garlic powder.

Sprinkle with Parmesan.

Alternative Version – sprinkle with grated Mozeralla instead of Parmesan.

Place in broiler and cook until bread is golden – Only about 2 Minutes! Watch carefully! It will catch fire if you don’t watch it. I’ve had that happen more than once :-0
