Periods aren’t fun for anyone, but if you are one who really suffers through it, you can try these nutritional solutions –

Calcium for PMS and muscles

Magnesium to help properly absorb the calcium

Vitamin A deficiency has been linked to heavy flow

Vitamin E and Omega 3s for cramps

Vitamin K for blood flow

Also – B Vitamins, Vitamin C, and niacin play a role.

Reduce your fat intake.

Apple cider vinegar, carrot juice, chamomile tea, cheese, lemon, mango, and saffron tea, are all said to help relieve cramps.

And for whatever reason, many of us crave chocolate. It could be the serotonin, or the magnesium. There is not a good science based explanation that I can find. Why fight it?
