Lycopene

cooking

Lycopene is a powerful anti-oxidant associated with reduced risk of heart disease, macular degeneration, high cholesterol, and cancers of the prostate, digestive system, lung, bladder, cervix and skin.

Where to get it –

Apricots, papaya, tomato products, (sauce, paste, ketchup…) watermelon. Tomatoes have to be cooked or processed to release the lycopene they contain. Watermelon has more lycopene, and all you have to do is eat it!
