Surviving jet lag starts with a few ounces of prevention – start eating the types of foods you will be eating on your trip a week ahead of time. This helps your body make adjustments gradually instead of all in one 24 hour period.

Stay well hydrated.

Get enough sleep prior to leaving (and during your trip if possible.)

Take your vitamins consistently before, during and after your trip.

The more you can do to build your body to its healthiest before you go will help you have more energy while you’re gone. Try to stay as consistent as possible while you are on your trip. Don’t load up on junk foods the whole time you’re gone and expect to feel good when you get back. No matter where you go in the world, you can manage to eat some fruits and vegetables every day.
