How I really stay fit
When you think of someone thin and fit, you assume that they spend a lot of time working out, right?
Before my daughter was born, I went to the gym 3 times a week, but then… well, you know! Who has time for that?
The truth is, the people who are the fittest and healthiest stay that way by simply getting out from in front of the TV and living life.
Clean the house
Garden
Walk your dog.
Play with your kids.
Golf, bowl, swim,
I truthfully do very little formal exercise. Life is my exercise.
You know I sure don’t have a lot of time for working out, but I’ve managed to keep this old body in pretty good shape.
Here’s my prescription –
Breathing and Posture exercises whenever you think of it. They can be done anywhere, any time.
Stretching รขโฌโ Keeping your muscles limber is a big anti-aging secret. Recent research even shows a connection between muscle flexibility and artery flexibility.
Walking for lower body, and stress relief. Strive for 20-30 minutes a day. It takes about 20 minutes at a medium pace to walk a mile. Dancing, vacuuming, and house cleaning are all workouts too ๐
Resistance exercise for upper body 3 times a week. Do not do these everyday. You can get the bands at WalMart.
That’s really all I do. Don’t discount the effectiveness of these exercises just because they’re so simple. Put your disbelief aside and try them for a few weeks.
If you’re so moved and you want to be super toned, you can try these exercises.
I think I just saved you the cost of a gym membership ๐
