2 Tablespoons reduced sodium soy sauce
2 Tablespoons honey
1 Tablespoon grated fresh ginger, or 1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
¼ teaspoon crushed hot red pepper flakes
12 ounces sirloin steak cut into 1 inch cubes
8 cherry tomatoes
4 large mushrooms, cut in half
1 green bell pepper cut into 8 squares
Pearl onions, or small onions quartered
In a shallow bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, ginger, garlic, lemon peel, and red pepper flakes. Mix well.
Add beef, coating well.
Cover and refrigerate 1-2 hours, or overnight.
Heat grill.
Remove beef from marinade, and discard marinade.
Use 4 – 10 inch metal skewers.
Alternate meat and vegetables on skewers.
Grill, turning 2 or 3 times, until meat ismedium rare – about 10 minutes total.
Serve immediately.
