Herb Butter Basted Salmon

 

 

1/2 cup butter (real butter!)
1/3 cup lemon juice
2 Tablespoons minced parsley
1 1/2 teaspoons soy sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
1 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper

Makes enough to baste up to 3 lbs. salmon fillets, 3/4 inch thick

Mix all ingredients except salmon in a saucepan. Cook and sitr until butter is melted.

Spray grill rack with non stick spray before starting grill. Heat grill.

Place salmon skin side down on hot grill. Grill covered over medium hot heat for 5 minutes.

Baste with butter sauce. Cook 10-15 minutes longer, basting frequently – until fish flakes easily.

You can also use a stove top grill, counter-top grill, gas grill, or charcoal grill.

I like to serve this with buttered noodles and a big mixed vegetable tossed salad with honey-mustard dressing.
