Guacamole – Family Secret Recipe

It took me years to get this recipe out of my friend. It was held tightly as a family secret recipe. It is without a doubt the best guacamole I’ve ever had.
3 medium sized, ripe avocados
1 large ripe tomato, about 1 cup chopped
½ small yellow onion, about ¼ cup diced
3 stems cilantro
3 fat jalapeno peppers
3 thin jalapeno peppers
½ teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon lime juice or lemon juice
Wash and finely chop tomato, place it and juices in medium bowl.
Peel and finely chop onion. Put into bowl.
Rinse and dry cilantro. Remove leaves from stems. Finely chop leaves and add to bowl.
Seed and finely chop jalapenos. Add to bowl. Add garlic powder.
Wash avocado. Cut in half. Remove pit. Scoop out meat. Place in a separate bowl to mash. Mash until fairly smooth.
Mix in lime or lemon juice, mix well.
Add avocado mash to the other bowl. Mix well. Salt to taste.
Serve immediately.
Makes 2 ¼ cups.
Eat it up – Does not store.
