Dump Cake

I love this cake. This was one of the first dump cake recipes. 

 

1 can Cherry pie filling

1 – 20 oz. can pineapple chunks

1 package yellow cake mix

1 – 8 oz. Package coconut

chopped nuts

1 stick butter

½ – 1 cup chopped nuts

 

Preheat oven to 375. Lightly grease a 9×13 in. pan.

Dump the pie filling in the bottom of the pan and spread evenly.

Dump in the pineapple with juice, and spread evenly.

Dump in the cake mix, coconuts, and nuts – spread evenly.

Cut butter into small pieces and dot evenly.

Bake at 375 for 45 – 50 minutes or until top is lightly browned.

Serve with ice cream, or whipped cream.
