Post Consumer Brands, LLC, has recalled 13,824 boxes of Publix-branded Bran Flakes cereal due to the potential presence of plastic. The recalled cereal was sold at Publix stores in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina, and has the lot code OCT0526RBA.
Do not consume the contaminated cereal; instead, throw it away or return it to Publix for a refund or replacement.
The FDA recently classified a recall on Aldi’s Specially Selected Vanilla Crรจme Brรปlรฉe as Class II, meaning that consuming the dessert could cause temporary health problems. The crรจme brรปlรฉe product is packaged in glass and has been recalled due to the potential presence of glass inside the dessert.
FSIS issued a health alert for Giovanni Rana’s Rustic Beef Sauce & Creamy Burrata Cheese Ravioli sold at Costco due to misbranding. The product does not have an allergen warning for shellfish, which the pasta may contain and could pose a health risk for those with serious allergies.
The product is no longer being sold at Costco, but it may be in your freezer. Check for the establishment number Est. 44870 and use-by dates between May 14, 2026, and June 25, 2026, on the frozen ravioli’s packaging.

Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections (i.e., infected aneurysms), endocarditis, and arthritis.
The recalled products were distributed in limited quantities through retail stores.
The affected products include White Cheddar Seasoning sold in the following consumer-facing formats:
- Williams Sonomaโbranded Popcorn Sampler Gift Box, containing a White Cheddar Seasoning component. The affected lot codes are: 088594-2-1.
- Fireworks Popcorn Poppings & Toppings gift set containing a White Cheddar Seasoning component sold at West Allis Cheese and Sausage. The affected lot codes are: 088594-5-1.
- Fireworks White Cheddar Seasoning, 1.6 oz jars, sold at West Allis Cheese and Sausage. The affected lot codes are: 088594-7-1.
The lot codes are printed on the product packaging. Product labels have been provided to FDA for reference.
