The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has announced a recall on more than 3 million pounds of frozen chicken fried rice sold across the U.S. and Canada. Ajinomoto Foods North America, Inc. has issued a recall for its Ajinomoto Yakitori Chicken with Japanese-Style Fried Rice and Trader Joe’s Chicken Fried Rice because the products may be contaminated with glass. IF Copack LLC dba Initiative Foods Recalls “Tippy Toes” Brand Apple Pear Banana Because of Possible Health Risk


A recall concerning single-serve containers of peanut butter distributed to 40 states has been categorized as a “Class II” recall by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration this week. “During production, the firm found pieces of blue plastic in a filter,” the FDA wrote in the report, which revealed the new Class II designation.

A spokesperson for Ventura Foods LLC told Nexstar that the single-serve peanut butter products were not sold directly to consumers, but rather provided to “restaurants or retailers” to be provided to consumers as a “complementary condiment.”

The affected peanut butter came in several single-serve sizes, and had been packaged under various brand names, including Flavor Fresh Peanut Butter, House Recipe Creamy Peanut Butter and Katy’s Kitchen Smooth Peanut Butter. Shaman Botanicals, LLC Issues Voluntary Nationwide Recall of Alkaloids Chewable Tablets—White Vein Due to Undeclared Concentration of 7-Hydroxymitragynine (7-OH)


FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – February 13, 2026 – North Kansas City, Missouri, Shaman Botanicals, LLC is voluntarily recalling one lot (Lot B# AAW.501.3) of Alkaloids Chewable Tablets—White Vein to the consumer level. Recent testing showed that the Alkaloids Chewable Tablets—White Vein product contains 7-Hydroxymitragynine (7-OH) in an amount more than the declared value of 7.5 mg/tablet.

Risk Statement: Use of the Alkaloids Chewable Tablets—White Vein product could result in consumers ingesting a higher dose than intended, which could result in adverse health effects.

Shaman Botanicals, LLC has not received any reports of adverse events related to this lot of Alkaloids Chewable Tablets—White Vein.

There’s an active recall on restaurant gift cards sold at Costco, according to a company letter.1

Costco. Member letter. This is due to the gift cards no longer being valid.

The gift cards affected are Synergy Restaurant Gift Cards, which are often sold to be used at various participating restaurants. Synergy Gift Card Network/Synergy World recently announced that they were ceasing operations, making all gift cards worthless as of January 31, 2026. The specific restaurants affected have not been disclosed.

The Synergy gift cards sold at Costco locations that are affected were sold from October 27, 2025, through January 26. Check your gift cards, and if you have any Synergy gift cards that were bought from Costco, return them to your location for a refund.
