Cranberry Cheese Spread

This is really different. A little creamy, a little sweet and a little tart.

 

1 – 8oz. package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sour cream
2 Tablespoons honey
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 -16oz can whole-berry cranberry sauce
1/3 cup slivered almond, toasted (or crushed pecans or walnuts untoasted)

Crackers for serving

Beat cream cheese, honey and cinnamon until smooth.

Spread into a serving dish or plate. Since I’m usually taking it somewhere, I use a disposable pie tin.

In a bowl, stir cranberry suace until smooth. Spread over cream cheese.

Sprinkle with nuts.

Cover and refrigerate for 2-3 hours.

Serve with crackers. A pecan or nutty cracker works best.
