Carotenoids

Beta-carotene is one of the carotenoids -the compounds that give fruits and vegetables their color. Dozens of studies tell us that the more carotenoids (carotenes) you have in your diet from food, not from supplements, the lower your risk of most types of cancer!

Where to get them –

Apricots, broccoli, cantaloupe, carrots, cherries, dark greens, mango, peaches, peppers, pumpkin, red bell pepper, spinach, squash, sweet potato, watermelon.
