Anti-Inflamatory Foods

New research is finding that inflammation is the real cause of many discomforts and disease. There are many foods that can help you stop inflammation –

Foods that act as an anti-inflammatories –

Apples

blueberries

Chamomile tea

cherries

chicken soup

cloves

cranberries

curry

ginger

honey

lemon

mustard

onion

peppermint

pineapple

raspberries

black tea

green tea

red wine

Almost all diseases can be linked to an inflammation of some kind – arthritis, asthma, artery disease, diabetes just to name a few. It’s good insurance to eat a couple of foods from this list every day.

Here’s what a good anti-inflammatory diet includes –

Fresh whole fruits and vegetables

Bright multi-colored fruits and vegetables

Dark green leafy vegetables

Atlantic Salmon (wild)

Lean organic poultry

Olive Oil

Nuts, legumes, and seeds

Old fashioned oatmeal

Spices, especially Turmeric and ginger

Green tea

Water

Moderate daily exercise

Stay away from these foods –

Milk

Whole Wheat

Sugars

Processed foods

French Fries

White Bread

Cheddar Cheese

Snack Foods

Soda

Vegetable oils, including – corn, soy, canola

Drink caffeine and alcohol in moderation only. A little is good. Too much is bad.

Try your best to stick with these principles on a regular basis. When you have a flare up – stick to this like glue until things clear up.
