Acne Control

Acne is a sign that your body chemistry is out of whack. Here are some tips you can use to get your acne under control and have beautiful  healthy glowing skins.

Eat skin loving foods like apples, cantaloupe, grapes, peaches, pears, pineapple, watermelon, and drink water with fresh lemon for great looking healthy skin.

Make sure to get enough of these essential nutrients –

Vitamin A

Essential fatty acids – Omega 3, fish oil, with Vitamin E.


B vitamins

Vitamins C and E


Drink plenty of water to keep your system flushed and your skin hydrated.

Try to keep your hair off of your face. My daughter never had a problem before bangs.

Cleanse with a gentle cleanser that restores your PH balance. Many acne treatments strip your skin making matters worse.

Moisturize with a water based moisturizer. Seems counter-intuitive, but your skin still needs moisture. When it gets too dry, it produces even more oil.

There is a lot of debate on what foods may contribute to acne. In my experience, greasy, oily foods and pop do make acne worse. Chocolate doesn’t – well, as long as you don’t eat half a ton of it. 😉

Get some sun regularly – just don’t burn – ever!

If you suffer from monthly acne, try to keep your diet clean the week before your period.

If you suffer from stress acne, try exercise or yoga. You could work on a hobby, meditate, read, exercise, take a walk... There are a number of things you can do to relieve stress. Green Tea is great for stress too.
