I can’t believe it. My baby girl got married last weekend. (She’ll love it that I chose that picture 🙂
It was beautiful The rain held off during the outdoor ceremony. The food was good. The party was good. We danced all night, and then it was over.
That really closes a chapter of life.
Even though she has been out of the house for a while, its never so final as it is when they get married. Its like a door that has been slowly closing until you hear that click and know it is closed. Life is forever changed.
I’m okay with it. She is off to build her life the way she wants it. Now its time for me to really focus on me and my life and desires.
There was a lot to do, not to mention stress and drama! I’m finding that I’m still burnt out. I expected that I could just jump into the next thing, but boy – I am really tired.
I have her dog for the week while they are on their honeymoon, so that is a bit more work. Its enough for right now to get to work, make dinner, take care of the dog, and keep the house up. I guess I need a break for a few days.
I’m focusing on eating well, getting sleep, and the dog forces me to get exercise.
Tonight we had a grilled chicken breast, green beans, baked potato, and cantaloupe. Yummy, and I’m stuffed. Even after the 2 mile walk.
You really have to listen to your body and take care of yourself. That is really hard for me. I am the type to try to push through everything. But I know I need to just chill for a few days until my energy reserve builds back up.
But then, you need to be careful that this does not become a new habit. Rest if you must, but don’t you quit! (from the poem, Don’t Quit)
Life is a continual balance of hard work, play, relaxation, rest, health, and the discipline to do what needs to be done – even if that is to rest for a while so you can rebuild your energy and regain your clarity and focus.
The secret is in managing your energy, health, motivation and mindset. When those are in place, you will automatically manage your time because you are focused on what you want to achieve.
Now, off to get some sleep so I can get back to normal!
