Its Pumpkin Time!

Pumpkins at a pumpkin patch in Geneseo, New York.

Here it comes – fall, cool weather, colorful landscapes, and pumpkins!

I picked up a few today. The baking pumpkins are in the stores now – and you have to grab them fast!

Baking pumpkins are smaller pumpkins. I can’t imagine that many people are processing and baking with pumpkin. But they usually look nicer. I think people are grabbing them up for decoration.

A few years ago, I found an easy way to process pumpkins. And while I can’t have you all over to show you how, I did the next best thing – I made a pictorial for you. You can find the pumpkin pictorial here >>>

And you can find great pumpkin recipes here, including my special pumpkin bread. It is a big favorite around here. It is the best you ever had! We go through a lot of that from now until January.

Pumpkin Pancakes have been another favorite around here. And there will be enough in the freezer for some pumpkin pies during the holidays.

This is going to be a cooler weekend in many parts of the country. Good weekend for processing a few pumpkins!

Enjoy!
