It ruined my New Year’s Eve but freed me

Just as I was getting ready to head out and see some friends on New Year’s Eve, I hit the button to send out a new post on Sane SuperWoman Club when something went horribly wrong.

Oh, it wasn’t poof and it was gone – No that would have been too easy. Instead, it was a pervasive “bug” in the program. Forums offed many techniques to solve the problem. It seemed that each of the techniques I tried only made things worse, until finally after a week of fighting – poof, it was gone. TheĀ  back up won’t work either.

Maybe that is a good thing. I have struggled with that site for a couple of years now. I had a vision of what I wanted the site to be, but I could not do it. The software was too technically complicated for a tech dummy like me.

But somehow I feel free with that struggle removed from my life. It give me the opportunity to move ahead and do things differently. I think it will be better for both of us.

Sometimes you just have to let something go to make room for something better.

Here’s to a great New Year!
