Summer is here along with fairs, festivals, water parks, amusement parks, and all sorts of fun things to do.

And they all cost money.

There are a few things you can do to save a little money so you can go do more things…

Drop your cable TV down to basic for the summer. You shouldn’t be sitting inside watching TV anyway!

Organize your errands so you are spending less money on gas.

Check out movies from the library instead of paying rental fees.

Stop using too much. Most people use too much soap, shampoo, and such. We feed our pets too much. It seems inconsequential, but it all adds up.

Plan your menus around what is on sale.

Use the recipes inside the member’s area. You’ll find many recipes will allow you to feed 2 people with one chicken breast. Chicken seems to be pretty cheap right now.  Chicken wraps, chicken teriyaki, sweet and sour chicken, chicken parmesan sandwiches are all examples. Meatless pasta dishes are cheap too.

Eat more salad. You can get a pound of organic spring mix for $5.99. That’s a lot of lettuce! Easy too – just rinse and throw in the bowl. Add your favorite veggies and toppings and you’re good to go.

Omelets are a cheap dinner option. Serve with a salad and fruit and you’ve got a great dinner.

Drink more water. Spend less on pop, and feel a lot better too.

Do you have more money saving ideas to share?
