Housework – one thing leads to another…

Did you ever notice that sometimes you can’t just do one thing? That one thing just leads to another, and another, and another?

I had one of those episodes tonight.

The dog is shedding. The cats aren’t shedding much yet. So nice of them to take turns. But anyway…

I brushed another bucket of fur off hyper dog – which is another exercise all in itself. He should be bald by now!

So, then I had to vacuum – myself first, then the furniture because I don’t want people to have hairy butts when they sit on my furniture. Nice of me, isn’t it?

Then the carpet.

Then the comforters on the beds, and the bedrooms.

Then the tile floors.

And while I’m at it, might as well wash the floors.

Why would I do that on Friday night instead of watching the CSI marathon?

So the house is ready for the weekend.

That’s when most people are home. Why leave the housework for time when you’re supposed to be relaxing and enjoying yourself?

Since it’s the time when people will be in the house more, it’s important to remove allergens.

Guests won’t be afraid to eat in your house.

Oh yeah, and people won’t have hairy butts.

It only took about an hour. I could still catch some CSI if I really wanted to.

And I don’t have to worry about it over the weekend.

I’ll be buying and planting more flowers, and cooking, and relaxing.

Whatever you’re doing, I hope you have a great weekend!

Carole

    Hi Carole:

This is a GREAT post! I know that if (when) I were to visit you, I will be forever grateful knowing that I will not have to leave with a hairy butt! You’ve got some great tips on keeping organized and just general, “common sense living”! Keep ’em coming!

I can’t tell why yahoo sent me to your blog but I can say I am now overall entertained by the information you have patched together. How many years did it take so many WWW users arriving to your blog? I am rather new to this web thing.
