Foods that help fall allergies

Zucchni and TomatoesOK, obviously you know you need to eat more fruits and vegetables, but here are the foods that will give you the most bang for the buck so to speak…

Garlic – natural antibiotic and germ killer

Onion – natural germs killer and helps open sinus and airways

Hot Peppers – help clear sinuses and have lost of Vitamin C.

Citrus Fruits – Lots of vitamin C to help strengthen your immune system

Green beans, cucumber, zucchini, tomatoes – all have seeds and would technically be fruits.

Orange foods – Sweet potatoes, apricots, butternut squash, carrots, and cantaloupe are full of carotenoids that help ease inflammation of sinus and airway linings.

Tea – especially green, peppermint or rooibos teas contain natural decongestants.

You can cool the tea bags and use them to sooth irritated eyes. Cucumber slices work too.

Drink plenty of water to keep your system flushed.
