Famous Thoughts on Food

“One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.”
  – Virginia Woolf, A Room of One’s Own

“Bad men live that they may eat and drink, whereas good me eat and drink that they may live.” – Socrates

“Eat to live, and not live to eat.” – Benjamin Franklin

“Let your food be your medicine.” – Hippocrates

Just a bunch of foolish old quotes?

I want to invade your thoughts today. I want you to think about every bite of food you eat. Is it helping your body, or hurting it?

Then, I’m going to ask you to try a little experiment.

You see, I know that most people don’t even eat 3 servings of fruits and vegetables a day. But I’m going to challenge you to try to eat 5 a day for the next week. I’ll even let you use 2 glasses of juice. You may pick from V8, orange juice, cranberry juice, purple grape juice, or tomato juice.

You also need to have 1 cup of dark green a day. Leaf lettuce, spinach, broccoli, greenbeans, etc.

Then add 1 serving of fresh fruit, and 1 more serving of fresh vegetables.

Now, I’m predicting that at the end of one week –

You’ll be less depressed.

Your face will look a little younger.

You’ll have more energy.

You might even lower your blood pressure and drop a couple pounds, but this is just a little experiment – so don’t expect total miracles.

I’m not asking you to change anything else right now.

Are you willing to accept the challenge?

It’s not that hard now, is it?

Let me know how you do…

Carole
