Who came up with that line anyway – to die for?
But these biscuits are so easy and so delicious that I’m betting this will become a weekend treat in your home.
They just don’t really have a name. They were originally meant to top a cobbler. Oh well – here is the recipe –
3 cups flour
4 teaspoons sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups whipping cream, not whipped
Preheat oven to 375 F
Lightly grease 2 cookie sheets
In a large bowl, mix dry ingredients with a fork
Add cream and stir gently until well combined.
Drop dough in mounds on cookie sheets. You should have 8 per sheet. A regular ice cream scoop is perfect.
Bake 15 – 17 minutes or until golden brown.
Enjoy with real butter and fresh preserves or honey.
Dinner variation –
Add garlic powder and Parmesan cheese to the dough before baking.
If you don’t need that many biscuits, just halve the recipe.
Enjoy!
