Don’t get sick!

I’m telling you, this ‘adventure’ is not one I wanted to be on. Being sick is a full time job. Every day there’s something that needs to be dealt with – Doctors, insurance, disability, …

I thought I’d give you an update, and pass on things I learn along the way.

Since I haven’t been able to clean any houses, I thought I would have more time to work on the blog and may be write another book. Hasn’t worked out that way. Being sick is a full time job.

And you know, when it rains it pours.

I still had the cast on my arm from breaking my wrist when I had the colon surgery. Now I’m pretty well recovered from the colon surgery and now the liver surgery is scheduled. Fortunately that is the only other cancer. Good news – But…

Bob, the owner of the house where I am living, has decided he is going to walk away from the house. It has fallen into such disrepair, and he owes so much – he’ll never see the light of day.

So, we all have to move His boys included. I have to have that done before I go in for surgery.

As luck, or God would have it – some friends of mine hooked me up with a lady that has a rooming house. Its a pretty good sized room, and I have my own enclosed porch. Nice!

I won’t have to clean house, or take care of the dog, or fight the patio door. The lady even washes your dishes and does your laundry. How weird is that? And there’s a nice beach down the street. It will be a great set up for recovery. And I’ll be away from all the negativity around here. I’m sure that hasn’t helped anything.

I’m definitely feeling the lack of exercise since I’m not cleaning houses. I have to step it up over the next month. I’m doing a dog sitting over spring break, right before the surgery. I need to be in shape for that, and the surgery of course. Got some work to do! Gotta pass all my pre-op testing.

I’ve been able to eat pretty normally again, so I’ve been stepping up the fruits and veggies. I have my list of anti-cancer foods and I’m trying to eat off that list as much as possible. But they want me on high protein, and they want me to gain weight. Puts me between a rock and a hard place. You can’t gain weight eating fruits and veggies.

I have been doing Ensure or Boost, but they have 15 grams of sugar! Cancer feeds on glucose. Sigh…

I did eat 2 pieces of deep dish pizza tonight. That should help, right? The only way to gain weight is to eat bad or drink a lot of alcohol or lattes.

I have continued to drink Essiac tea, but I’ve had to cut down to once a day, which they said you should after 10 days. I’m also doing cannabis oil. I’ve also done a little frequency stuff on you tube. Is it helping? Only time will tell. They are happy with my progress so far.

And no one has mentioned the fact that statistically the 5 year survival rate is pretty dismal. But since I’m waling around with stage IV cancer and I’m not sick… They seem pretty confident. I’m treating it as an annoyance. I know attitude and belief go a long way.

Oh, and I learned that you should not take COQ10 when you have cancer. Yes, it energizes your cells, but in this case, it also energizes the cancer cells.
