How do you feel when someone doesn’t seem to appreciate the things you do? Even more irritating is when they not only don’t appreciate it, but expect it simply because they exist on this planet.
Do you have anyone like this in your life?
How willing are you to do things for them? Will you happily go out of your way to try to make them happy?
How happy does it make you feel to do something for someone who never even says thank you?
Now think of a time when you did something for someone who was grateful and appreciative. It felt good, didn’t it?
Now think about someone in your life who is always grumbling. Never happy about anything. Nothing is ever good enough.
Aren’t they draining to be around?
Now think about someone who makes lemonade out of lemons.
Its cold? Good reason to bake cookies and play cards.
Rough day? Yes, but now it’s time to enjoy a good dinner – and look at that beautiful sunset! Isn’t it awesome?
No money? We can still take a walk and enjoy the beauty of nature.
Which of the above examples is you?
Are you spoiled, demanding and ungrateful?
Are you always grumbling and complaining?
Or are you appreciative and easy to be around?
There are a number of reasons why you’ll want to strengthen your gratitude attitude –
It makes you more likable and easier to be around
It makes people more willing to listen and do things for you. That includes your kids, your spouse, your boss, your employees, your boss, your customers, and even God.
You’ll feel better. It makes you realize that not everything is as bad as you think.
