Today I was sort of surfing around, procrastinating on all the spring cleaning things I said I wanted to do today. I ended up stumbling upon pictures of Epiphany from around the world.

I was fascinated by the images in far away places – and it struck me like a ton of bricks –

In places like Romania, Bulgaria, Istanbul, Macedonia, all throughout Russia, and Palestine – these people were free to celebrate in public.

But here in America, the country founded on Christian principles and religious freedomĀ  – Christians have to be fearful about what they say and do.

As I thought about it further, it seems to me that we have been forced into a sea of conformity. Don’ think, don’t speak, don’t smoke, don’t joke, don’t make waves. Keep your mouth shut and get in the herd now you nice little sheep.
