Yep, that’s what I did last weekend. I made buckets of mud. Yes, I’m horrified to admit that even in my house you can find that much dirt.
Last weekend was the last weekend that I will have off before Thanksgiving, so I had to get the heavy work done. It’s all in the planning – right?
The first task was washing down the bathroom. I’ve been meaning to paint that room for like 2 years now, so I put off washing the walls until the day I magically have time. You know how that goes, right?
So its no surprise that I would get a bucket of mud in this room. I did everything – the ceiling, walls, blinds, curtains, and the window. I would be so embarrassed to have the family over again and still have that room looking so bad. It still needs painting, but let me tell you- it looks 200x better than it did.
Next I tackled the cabinets. Since my daughters was home, I kind of let them go a little, but I did not expect them to be that bad! That is how to ruin a big investment. But now they are all cleaned and oiled.
While I was working in the bathroom, I thought – gee, how long has it been since I washed the doors? OMG! Take a bucket of Murphy’s oil soap in some warm water and see what comes off your interior doors.
Now it has been said that I am a little over the top when it comes to cleaning, but if I can get this all done while working a full time job, blogging, and writing books and courses – there is no reason why you couldn’t get your home cleaned to at least normal standards, right? Let me help you get your house clean
