  • Beth says:

There were important people in other fields that died also. Edward Kennedy in politics and Jim Rohn in the personal development field come to mind.

In my own life, a beloved aunt and one of my 3 cats died. I do think that proportionately, more well-known people died this year than on average.
Although now it is easier than ever before to receive news easily, I do think there were more actual deaths of famous people. We have more people in the world too, so that could be a factor.

More importantly, perhaps, is that we are still alive. On New Years’ Day it is tradition to take stock of ourselves and decide what we want for the rest of our lives. Unless we commit and take action, nothing will change. Mediocrity, mundane things happening, and same old same old will be the norm. Setting goals, writing them down, focusing on them, and taking action on them one step at a time, will make amazing things happen!

This can be the year we all make a difference in our own life and in the lives of others around the world. What do you want people to remember you for after you are gone?
