The win by Republican Scott Brown for Ted Kenney’s seat has really stirred things up. The support requests are flying in like crazy. I find the dialogs really interesting.

For the last year, most Democrats in Washington have let lobbyists and corporate interests run roughshod over the people’s business. Wall Street got bailouts. Bankers got bonuses. Big Insurance rewrote the health care bill. Meanwhile, ordinary Americans continue to struggle to make ends meet.

But now, finally, Democrats know they need to change course to win back voters’ confidence. The question is, will they learn exactly the wrong lesson? Will they give up on change altogether? Drop health care reform? Follow the lead of conservatives like Joe Lieberman and Evan Bayh and embrace “Republican-lite”? 

We need to make sure Democrats don’t get it wrong this time. It’s time to demand that they start truly fighting for working families. Pass real health care reform. Rein in Wall street. Take on the banks and special interests that stand in the way of change.

Personally, I think both sides have been full of bull – and I think this election has sent them all a wake-up call -Quit selling us out, or you’ll be joining us in the unemloyment lines bucko!

I know we’re all tired of hearing about it, and sometimes we just don’t feel like fighting anymore – but you have to keep raising your voice for what you believe in. Take every opporutnity for your voice to be heard. Make it really crystal clear that Congress Works for Us!

And not to sound like a broken record or anything – but the best way to reform health care is to get healthy. Believe me – they’re not fighting for your health, they’re fighting for your money. you’re worth a whole lot more money to them when you’re fat and sick. And you’re a lot easier to control once you’re trapped in the system.
