Sad Summer

There have been so many tragedies on the lakes this year.

A father and son were out on jet skis. The son ran into the father and he was killed.

2 men were out enjoying the day on a pontoon boat. One decided to go swimming. He couldn’t get back up on the boat. The friend jumped in to help him. Meanwhile, the boat floated farther away. The second friend was rescued by another boater, but the first gentleman didn’t make it out.

A group of friends were out on a boat for the day. One guy announces that he is a good swimmer and can make it back to shore. He didn’t make it.

A family came up and rented a boat. They were out on the busy lakes pulling 2 kids on a tube. One kid fell off and was hit by another boat. He was only 10 years old.

I don’t think people realize just how dangerous the lakes can be. Especially on the weekends when so many people are out on the water.

There is still a good amount of summer left. If you’re going to be out on the lakes – make sure you know what you are doing – especially if you’re going to be on a busy lake. Most of us who live up here try to stay away from the traffic. Don’t poo-poo the safety considerations. I used to. As an inexperienced boater, I almost ran into a dock. I could have killed us.

And do I need to say – don’t drink and boat?

I don’t mean to scare you away from having fun, but these stories are really shaking us up. Have fun, but be safe!

This is very horrible. However, there are these sorts of situations take place and we can’t avoid on these. There is always sad thing will happen for happy time but not always.
