Free Face Lift, part 1

User Rating:  / 0

Facial muscles need a workout too. Here's how to give yourself a free facelift.Recently I've been intrigued by face excerises, and face yoga.

We've sort of been encouraged to limit the amount of strain we put on our face, because that causes wrinkles, right?

The whole point of botox is to sort of freeze your face. We've all seen the pictures of overdone botox where they look totally unnatural. I don't know about you, but injecting botulism into my face is not something I'm willing to do.

So what's the deal with face exercises?

Well, there are over 50 muscles in your face. Let that sink in for a minute.

What happens when you don't exercise the muscles in your body?

They shrink and atrophy, right?

But when you work the muscles, they look toned and fit.

Oh my gosh, I had a light bulb moment!

If you could work those face muscles you would fill out your face and keep it looking toned and fit. I know those are not words you would normally associate with your face, but it makes a lot of sense, doesn't it?

Now that you've been losing weight, you might notice that your face looks a little sunken in places. That actually makes you look older, doesn't it?

So working those face muscles not only plumps up the muscles, but it also delivers more blood and skin building nutrients, giving you a healthy glow.

I'm only now starting to play in this area, but you really do feel it. It's weird.

The first installment in this series is a bunch of Jack Lalane videos I found on YouTube. The person who made them went through the old shows at and extracted just the face exercises.

If you don't know about Jack Lalane, he is a world famous body builder and fitness instructor. He has juicers that you may have seen on infomercials. And he's going to be 96 in September. According to his website, he has a new juicer coming out. We'll have to check it out.

Anyway, enjoy the first part of the series. We can all compare notes next month ;-)
