Eat Your Way To a Strong Healthy Heart

Eat as many of these heart healthy foods as you can!

 Acai berries, almonds, apples, apple cider vinegar, asparagus, avocado, banana, beans, blueberries, broccoli, brown rice, carrots, cashews, cayenne, cherries (dark), chocolate - dark, cranberries, flax seed, fruit, garlic, greens – dark, green tea, fish, oatmeal, olive oil, onions, red bell peppers, potatoes, pumpkin, red wine, spinach, sweet potatoes, watermelon, whole grains

These great foods will help keep your arteries healthy and clear!


Almonds, Asparagus, black tea, berries, beets, cashews, cayenne, cherries, chicken, dark chocolate, cranberries, eggplant, fish, garlic, grapes, grapefruit, green tea, lemon peel, onions, parsley, peanuts, plums, tomato juice, walnuts

Throw some almonds on your green beans.

Throw some walnuts in your salad, along with some dried cranberries and a red wine vinnaigrette dressing. For even more nutritional punch, make it a spinach salad. Heck, throw some broccoli in there too!

Eat a banana at break. Have a handful of cashews.

Its not that hard to eat healthy, is it? You like a lot of those heart healthy foods, don't you?


Just take it easy on the whole grains and the wine. While they're good for you in moderation, too much is not good.

Make sure you're getting enough of these essential nutrients – Anti-oxidants (especially vitamins C & E and lycopene), Vitamin A, Vitamin D (get out in the sun a little!), B vitamins, Omega 3s (fish, fish oil, flaxseed oil), CoQ10, magnesium, niacin, potassium, and zinc.

I give that beat a 10.

OK, you have to be old enough to remember American Bandstand...

Now the real secret is to be old enough to remember it - and still dance!
