Beta-carotene -the compound that gives fruits and vegetables color, is converted to vitamin A inside your body. The darker or brighter the color, the more beta-carotene it has.


Where to get beta-carotene –

Apricots, cantaloupe, carrots, dark greens, mangoes, peaches, pink grapefruit, pumpkin, squash, sweet potato


Do not take more than 25 milligrams a day in supplement form. Get it in your diet instead.
