Happy Halloween

It’s a busy day for anyone with small kids, isn’t it?
I was very lucky when my daughter was younger
and needed mom to come along for trick-or-treating.
I was able to get off every halloween – and even then,
it was a flurry of activity. But fun, if you just can get
yourself to relax and go with the flow.

It helps to have something ready for dinner that you
can throw on the table in a few minutes.

If you’re home today, you can cook up some chicken
breasts and shred them for barbeque chicken sandwiches.
Have salad fixings ready to throw together – and maybe
some cut up fruit.

Spaghetti is always a good choice too. Make it with green
noodles today!

So are things like porkchops, steaks, or chicken breasts
that you can season and saute in like 10 minutes.

Raw fruits and vegetables are always a life saver.
No cooking! Just throw it together.

Black olives were always a favorite on halloween.
A fun food. Sticking them on your fingers and then
eating them off one by one.

It’s pretty cold here today, so I imagine trick or treating
will be a short lived activity. Hot chocolate will be mandatory!
Making real hot chocolate with 2% milk really only takes a
couple minutes longer – and tastes so much better.
Especially topped with real whipped cream :)

Don’t forget to check all of the candy. You never know
where some sicko will show up.

Oh, and leave some chocolate for the kids ;)

Have a fun and safe day!

Talk to you soon -
